What Will I Need For The Job?
- 17mm socket or wrench
- An oil change kit
- Volvo oil filter cartridge removal tool
- Shop rags
- For this video I used Pentosin Pento-High Performance 5W30 oil & a Mann Oil Filter
Let's Get to Work!
- First, support the vehicle by using a lift or jack/jack stands. May sure its safe and stable before starting.
- Remove the splash pan and its seven bolts under the engine.
- Remove the 17mm drain plug and drain the oil into a drain bucket.
- Remove the oil filter cartridge housing and replace the filter.
- Reinstall in reverse order.
- Fill the engine back up with oil.
- Reset your service light
- Fill out and install a service sticker.
