To line the holes up, wobble the clutch pedal up and down while pushing on the pin with your finger. A return piston or spring is typically attached to the mounting and clutch pedal arm with two metal clips. They arte engaged by retaining rings. Take out the retaining rings and slide the metal pins out of the clutch pedal to free it from the clutch pedal. Look down into the clutch pedal arm, and you can see a return spring in a small pocket. It is held in place with its own tension. Use a flat blade screwdriver with a long arm to push the spring in on itself, releasing it from the pedal arm. The clutch pedal should now slide off the arm.
